Ligeti etudes at rncm Concert Hall

With her new album Etudes – A New Perspective hot off the press, we’re delighted to welcome multi-award winning and Korean pianist Jackie Jaekyung Yoo to the RNCM.

Jackie joins our students as they take turns performing the complete Ligeti Etudes. With 18 individual études across three books, these highly virtuosic and expressive pieces are each individually titled. Some are named after musical terms while others have a more poetic description symbolising the dual nature of artistry and technique in piano studies.
